Registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner
Having suffered with long term clinical depression, atopic dermatitis and irritable bowel syndrome through my teenage years and into my early twenties, I felt frustrated having to attend frequent hospital appointments to no avail. This feeling of ill health became my “normal” and I felt this would be how I would spend the rest of my life. I needed an escape and as I was unaware of a way I could take control of my health, controlling my surroundings seemed the only option.
Travelling to Australia, I started to realise the importance of how a healthy and active lifestyle can have a profound impact on our wellbeing. Seeking support from a Nutritional Therapist and taking a simple food intolerance test, I discovered many triggers to my symptoms and worked alongside her to address those. Feeling my health progress from strength to strength was a turning point and I realised that because of nutrition I would never look back and wanted to help others take control of their own health.
Returning to the UK, I completed a 3 year course studying Naturopathic Nutrition with the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Manchester. I am now a qualified and registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner accredited through the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). As a new mother I want to continue feeling amazing everyday by incorporating lifestyle, attitude, nutrition and exercise, showing others that even the slightest changes using Nutritional Therapy could have significant benefits to your health.
